31 Years and Still Writing Our Love Story
My name is Jamie, and when it comes to love and relationships, I don't just speak from theory. I speak from 31 years of real life experience. I married my first love at just 17 years old, and more than three decades later, we're still married, still in love, and yes, the passion is still there!
Now, does that mean we've had a perfect marriage? Absolutely not. And I'm not going to sit here and pretend otherwise. We've experienced the beautiful moments, the difficult seasons, the disagreements, the disappointments, and the challenges that can either bring two people closer together or pull them apart. We've had to learn how to communicate, how to compromise, how to forgive, and sometimes how to fall in love with each other all over again.
What Makes Love Last
Because here's something I firmly believe: a successful marriage isn't measured by the absence of problems. It's measured by how two people choose to face those problems together.
Over the years, I've learned that love alone doesn't sustain a relationship. It takes respect, loyalty, emotional maturity, communication, intimacy, and, most importantly, effort from both partners. I've also learned that staying married and being happily married aren't necessarily the same thing. A lasting relationship requires continuing to build a connection worth staying for.

And let's talk about passion, because it's an important part of a relationship that people don't discuss nearly enough. Just because you've been together for decades doesn't mean the romance, attraction, or excitement has to disappear. My husband and I are living proof that love can evolve, deepen, and remain passionate through different stages of life.

Today, I bring my personal experiences, lessons, and perspective to conversations about love, marriage, and relationships. I believe in honest discussions, practical wisdom, and telling people what they may need to hear, not simply what they want to hear. I'm not here to convince anyone that I have all the answers. I'm here because I've spent 31 years learning some of life's most valuable lessons about love, and I believe those lessons are worth sharing.
After 31 years, my husband and I are still writing our love story. And that's something I'm incredibly proud of.
